NEWBORN SESSIONS
AT-HOME NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY IN BROMLEY & LONDON
The first few weeks, gently captured — at home, posed and unhurried, on your baby's own time.
Newborn sessions are a quiet art. Babies in this window — those first six weeks — sleep deeply, curl naturally, and let themselves be held in ways they never will again. The work is part patience, part instinct, part eighteen years of knowing exactly when a baby will settle and exactly when not to push.
I bring everything with me. Studio-quality lighting, organic wraps in soft neutrals, gowns, headbands, baskets, and the small props that turn a sleeping baby into a portrait you'll hang on a wall. Almost every family asks for the classic poses — wrapped, hands under chin, curled on a soft blanket — and after a thousand newborns, I do them safely, gently, and well.
Eighteen years in, I still take each baby into my hands the way I held my own. I remember every newborn I've photographed — it still moves me, every time.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Most families book in the second trimester. Newborn sessions take place in the first six weeks of life — and I only take a small number each month, so the earlier you reach out, the better.
-
Babies arrive in their own time, and the session moves with them. Your date is held flexibly around the actual birth, not the due date.
-
ITwo to three hours, in your home, at your baby's pace. Newborns set the tempo, not me. We pause for feeds, for cuddles, for settling — and we wait when waiting is what they need. I'd rather come slowly than push a timeline that doesn't belong to your baby.tem description

Yes — and I love it when they are. Older siblings meeting the baby for the first time, both parents in the frame, a quiet family dog on the bed. The session is about the newborn, but also about the small new family they've just joined. Everyone is welcome.
-
Yes. Eighteen years of newborn work means every pose is done with the baby's safety first — small adjustments, careful support, never pushing. If the baby doesn't settle into a pose, we don't do it. There's no pose worth a baby's discomfort.

WHAT FAMILIES SAY
"My son Callum was not the easiest newborn model, but Kate was incredible. So professional, so patient, so caring and sensitive — and we got some incredibly beautiful shots. The photos we have will be treasured for the rest of our lives."
— SIOBHAN C."What fantastic photographs we have of our little one at 11 days old. Kate came to our house with all the props — a challenge as we had a one-bed house. She was absolutely great with our son, like a baby whisperer, getting him into positions and off to sleep right on cue."
— GEMMA S."When my daughter was born, there was no question who I'd trust for the newborn shoot. Kate made the whole experience feel calm and unhurried — incredibly patient, gentle, and attentive. A true professional and a master of her craft."
